On June 28-29 and July 1-2, Daughter of the Party ushered in its fourth round of performances during the celebration. The NCPA Orchestra and the Central National Orchestra join forces, with Lv Jia, Director of Music & Arts of NCPA, being conductor of the orchestra at the performance, and many of the same people, including singers Lei Jia and Liao Changyong, returning to the stage once again.
In 1991, the national opera Daughter of the Party was successfully premiered. Thirty years later, on the centennial of the founding of the Party, the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) presents the classic national opera again with a new version of stage design and audio-visual effects.
Sound engineer He Biao and his team led the system set-up and production of Daughter of the Party. In addition to the L-ISA immersive system, the hardware system of this performance also includes the BlackTrax tracking system.
The frontal system consists of 5 hangs of Kara; the fill system uses two sets of A10. There are two KS28 for low frequency extension. For stage monitoring, they deploy Syva and Syva Low on stage to ensure performers receive a clear return. Syva can be hidden behind the curtain with its slim figure to maintain the overall visual effect and won’t block the path for people walking up or walking down. The entire immersive system from set-up to the tunning refers to the Soundvision modeling software.
BlackTrax and L-ISA work together again to realize the character tracking and panning. BlackTrax recognizes the position of the actor on the stage, and at the same time, binds to the actor's microphone channel to control the spatial parameters in L-ISA, including the horizontal change (left and right), vertical change (back and forth), and height change (up and down) of the panning, creating a spatial effect similar to that in the real world.
