New Pants: The Best Time is Now Suzhou Concert

Last October, New Pants started their tour with full enthusiasm, named after the single The Best Time is Now from their 2016 album, and all the tickets for the first Suzhou concert were sold out within 30 minutes, but unfortunately it was put back due to the epidemic. Recently, New Pants’s The Best Time is Now Tour Suzhou Concert was officially restarted and held in Suzhou Sports Center on August 20. This is the first stadium concert for an independent band in China.

New Pants is China's most dynamic live and creative iconic rock band. The band was formerly known as Metal Workshop's Body Master, formed in 1995 and originally consisted of five members in the style of punk. In 1996, there were some of its members left so the band was regrouped and renamed New Pants. New Pants is extremely popular and has not only performed at the finale of major music festivals, but has also participated in several music variety shows and commercial advertising and film music.

Because this was an outdoor stadium concert, PA engineer Chen Dong said, "K1 would be my first choice for a concert of this scale. I've been working with the New Pants for more than a decade, and I've produced most of their songs, so I know exactly what they need."

The sound system was designed by system engineer Wang You. He pointed out that this concert with 30,000 audiences attending requires a very large capacity. To create an consistent sound field, there should be adequate quantity of speakers; but also to ensure that providing the engineer enough space toproduce.
