Concert in Commemoration of The 50th Anniversary of The Shanghai Communique

On February 28th, North Bund Shanghai, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and Shanghai Municipal People's Government jointly organized a concert to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Shanghai Communique, or the China-US Joint Communique.

 “The publication of the Shanghai Communique marked the normalization of Sino-US relationship, laying the foundation for the formal establishment of Sino-US diplomatic relations. Music is the common language of all human beings, and all walks of life in China and the United States have strongly supported and actively participated in such a significant event. We can fully feel the beautiful blessings of our people and work together for a new chapter in China-US cooperation through the bridge of music.” said Gong Zheng, mayor of Shanghai city. 

The main system comprised 12 KARA II and 4 SB18 stacked on both sides of the stage. As the stage is relatively wide, there was one X12 deployed on each side of the stage steps using as front fill. Two groups of Syva+Syva Low were evenly spaced in the middle of the venue for delay.

One DiGiCo Quantum 5 console was deployed as PA, while Quantum 338 console was used as OB. Through the fiber optic networking, the two consoles and three SD-Rack interface boxes could be shared between the input and free distribution of output, which would help to improve the stability and security of the audio output.

The concert not only commemorates the special moment of the day, but also expresses the beautiful vision and firm belief of the Chinese people for the friendship between China and the United States.
