Music to Live: Tencent Music Entertainment Awards

On January 23, 2021, the second TMEA Tencent Music Entertainment Award came with the theme of "Music to Live". Different from traditional music award ceremony, this is the one would be more delicated on music itself.

 

To present the performance as perfect as possible, sound design is one of the key factors. In this ceremony, the sound system was deployed in a high-level configuration. For the loudspeakers, 24 K1 and 8 K2 were applied as the main. Another 24 K2 were used for surround fill, while 24 KARA were for backfill. There are 8 KARA and 8 X8 were deployed in frontfill. 12 K1-sub and 16 SB28 took over the LF extension. Two DiGiCo SD5 consoles and one SD10 console handled the mix production. The two SD5 consoles were as back-up which can seamlessly switch between the main and backup console without interrupting the audio signal and greatly ensures the security of the system.
