Guangzhou Jazz Festival 2020

Guangzhou Jazz Festival, one of the most influential jazz festivals in China, was officially held at Guangzhou Xinghai Concert Hall at 20:00 on the 13th November. Younger and older generations of artists from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai gathered on the stage of Xinghai Concert Hall with their latest works, bringing a number of wonderful jazz performances.

 

"Guangzhou Jazz Festival has always attached great importance to local originals and local musicians, giving them the opportunity to showcase on the mainstream stage. The Guangzhou Jazz Festival this year seems to be a big party for Chinese mainstream jazz musicians and local Guangzhou jazz music groups." Mr. Yang Zhen, Deputy Director of Xinghai Concert Hall, said in the interview.

 

Ms. Jing Huan, the permanent conductor of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra mentioned, "The audience will be able to enjoy the jazz symphony presented by the orchestra. We hope to show the audience the prosperous side of jazz at its peak through the classic pieces."

 

This year's Jazz Festival had the largest number of programs ever. It was also the time that cooperated with Tencent Art, performing online and offline. During the festival, all concerts will be recorded in super high quality format with multi-camera.
