Sound of the Silk Road: Deliver the sound of China

Sound of the Silk Road is the first "Silk Road" themed original musical in China, jointly produced by TCG, Shaanxi, one of the top cultural tourism groups in China, and the Ni Delun family of Broadway in the United States. It is also the first original production between China Performing Arts and Broadway in China, which combines music, dance, puppetry, acrobatics, martial arts and other art forms. The musical makes its world premiere at Shaanxi Grand Theatre on July 23, 2020

Sound of the Silk Road is about a Chinese teenager, Joey (Tang Joey), who grows up in the West and travels back 2,000 years to Chang'an during the Han Dynasty by coincidence. After experiencing major historical events and trials and tribulations, finally accomplishes the recognition of his own identity and cultural identification.

The theater where the musical is presented has three floors, with over 1,000 seats and a large venue area, and the sound needs to be fully covered to ensure even coverage in the audience area.

The elaborate audio layout, the unexpected sound effects, the beautiful choreography, and the stunning musical performance allow the audience to have not only a visual impact but also an emotional resonance.

Shaanxi, as the inventor of the Chinese civilization and the origin of the Silk Road, is trying its best to carry forward the spirit of the Silk Road, create a benchmark for the cultural heritage and development of the Silk Road. Sound of the Silk Road musical will also further fulfill the mission of ‘Telling the Chinese story and delivering the Chinese culture’ to the world.
