Gansu Grand Theatre

Located in the heart of Lanzhou, Gansu, Gansu Grand Theater was completed in 2011 and is by far a public facility with the largest scale, the most comprehensive functions, and the highest level of building intelligence in the Gansu province.

 

The theater hosts a seven-floor new building (including underground) that houses a 1,500-seat theater hall, a number of medium and small meeting rooms, theater studios, auditoriums, international conference rooms, and sub-meeting rooms for 14 cities and prefectures, in addition to an underground citizen square.

 

The theater features high-end technologies in architecture, architectural acoustics, lighting and acoustics, stage machinery, intelligent controls, etc. Designed to convey the rich history and culture of Gansu province from a modern arts perspective, includes the Yellow River Culture, Painted-Pottery Culture, Dunhuang Culture. Gansu Grand Theater has become an arena that utilizes world-class technologies to arm itself and showcase the cultural spirit of Gansu.

 

After ten-year of operation, the theatre has brought an exciting upgrade to its equipment to meet modern needs and acquired two DiGiCo Quantum 338, with two SD-Rack and two SD-Mini Rack recently.

 

“The new upgrade allows the data sync in real-time, and they can be switched between the main and the back-up whenever, this could help to improve the stability greatly,” says Shi Zhuohao, RAC’s product manager. “With 128 Input channels and Mustard Processing, Spice Rack&Chilli 6, Nodal Processing and True Solo, the Qunaum 338 has featured powerful functions and flexible workflow for all kinds of production.”

 

“We can see that Quantum 338 has been being the core of the system in many significant events in domestic, for example, the Shanghai Annual Meeting 2022, the New Year Concert 2022 GBA, the 10th China Flower Exposition, etc., we are happy to see it was again chosen for Gansu Grand Theatre and running so well on each show for now.”

 

What’s more, DiGiCo S21 has been deployed as the monitor. Its compact structure has helped the engineers a lot with its capacity and easy-to-use.
