Located in Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, Jingdezhen Tao Xichuan Grand Theatre is one of the top theatres in Jiangxi at present, and the only grand theatre in the country paved with fair-faced red bricks. The theater is invested and built by Jingdezhen Ceramic Culture Tourism Group, and British architecture designer David Chipperfield was invited to design, fully integrating the Jingdezhen's cultural characteristics, adopting simple design and modern elements, retaining traditional features while carrying a distinct sense of the times.
The theater contains two main performing arts spaces: the Grand Theater and the multi-purpose Black Box Theater, both equipped with L-Acoustics and DiGiCo audio equipment.
l Grand Theater
The auditorium of the theatre is a three-tier traditional horseshoe-shaped design, with more than 1,200 seats to meet the needs of various domestic and foreign operas, musicals, plays, dramas, concerts, large-scale cultural performances and other activities.
