Yangzhou is a famous cultural city with a history of more than 2,500 years, and has a rich cultural heritage, as well as cultural plays such as Yang Opera, Yangzhou Play, and Yangzhou Commentary. As a landmark of Yangzhou's canal culture, the Yangzhou Canal Grand Theatre provides a broader platform for them to showcase and communicate.
The Grand Theatre is respectively designed with four performance halls with the themes of spring flowers, summer bamboo, autumn leaves and winter snow. The internal space of the theatre is open and magnificently arranged, consisting of a 1600-seat comprehensive opera hall, an 800-seat drama hall, a 300-seat multi-functional theatre and a 500-seat opera theatre. Each theater has different functions and unique features, providing the public with first-class art appreciation and cultural charm.
